What is the GameKit? |
||
|
The GameKit is a framework of reusable Objective-C
objects created by
Don Yacktman
that can help developers rapidly create
games. It is currently based upon (and requires) Apple's
Cocoa development environment
and only runs on
Mac OS X. (A GNUStep version is planned
but not yet begun.) The original NEXTSTEP version of the
GameKit is still available from the
MiscKit ftp site.
At the moment, the Mac OS X version of the GameKit is being used by illumineX and is not available to the general public. It is unknown when it will be made available. Sorry to keep everyone waiting forever! At some point, we still hope to make it publically available (but we can't make any promises right now). |
